Continental School, 18th Century Two Roosters, a Pigeon and a Monkey oil on canvas 25 x 31 1/2 inches. This lot is located in Chicago. Condition Report Framed dimensions 39 1/2 x 46 inches. Canvas is relined. In overall decent, stable condition. Some surface dirt and dust consistent with age. The frame with a larger area of loss to ornament at bottom center, some pieces retained. Other scattered areas of flaking and loss to gilt decoration with exposed gesso on frame. Examination under UV light shows a few scattered areas of overpainting but no significant restoration nor repairs to canvas are apparent. Additional images available upon request.
