A Flemish Mythological Tapestry 17th Century depicting Hercules with the skin of the Nemean lion. 6 feet 11 inches x 6 feet 8 1/2 inches. This lot is located in Chicago. Property from the Private Collection of Merle Reskin Condition Report Appearing in overall sturdy and ready to hang condition. Well conserved. The tapestry is cut down from a larger work and the border newer. Some fading as is to be expected for age. A few scattered sewn repairs and patches throughout, one more noticeable near the bottom of the female figure's clothes appears to incorporate a patch from another tapestry. With a linen backing and loops for hanging at the top. Additional images are available upon request.
